Long Review:

Any child with an interest in trains will be enchanted by this entertaining video, which is packed with live-action, close-up shots of an incredibly detailed toy train layout. This realistic-looking world features all sorts of locomotives and railroad cars, towering mountains and tall trestles, numerous train stations and buildings, tiny people and animals, and even a circus parade. Interspersed are scenes of real trains in action, farm animals (along with groan-out-loud cow jokes), and railroad-loving kids. A soundtrack of toe-tapping train songs keeps the action rolling, and a series of comical collisions and other humorous mishaps will have viewers giggling. Not as glitzy or polished as many other films for kids, this video has an endearing homemade quality to it. The creators are obviously crazy about trains and everything to do with them, and children will appreciate and respond to their unabashed enthusiasm. Diehard train buffs should check out the rest of the series.
