Short Review:
That most famous of sad sacks, Charlie Brown, brings his own special brand of pessimism to the Christmas season. Will he get the Christmas spirit? Of course, if his friends have anything to say about it!
Long Review:

Depressed over the rampant commercialism of the holiday season, Charlie Brown bemoans his lack of Christmas spirit. But with the help of his friends – psychiatrist and motivator Lucy, practical and serene Linus, a seemingly indifferent Snoopy, and a needy little Christmas tree – Charlie Brown discovers the true meaning of Christmas. This classic Peanuts special has it all – Lucy mooning over Schroeder’s piano, the gang dancing to great music by Vince Guaraldi, Linus’ moving recitation of the Christmas story, and Snoopy, well, being Snoopy. And did I mention the fabulous music? Vince Guaraldi’s jazzy tunes provide the perfect accompaniment to the story. The vocals by the classmates of one of the filmmaker’s children give a realistic charm and combine with the instrumentals to make for some of the most moving and memorable holiday music ever (the original sountrack recording is available on CD). A yule-tide tradition for many families, this classic Peanuts special is a must-see at Christmas time.
