Long Review:

Featuring simple songs about everyday situations, live-action shots of busy children and their families, and Hap Palmer's soothing voice, this delightful video will capture the attention of even the youngest viewers. A brief animated vignette starring a diaper-wearing toddler and a scruffy dog introduces each of the ten tunes. There is a lot of musical and visual variety to keep children interested. In "Piggy Toes," a toe-tapping beat and bouncy lyrics are matched with scenes of babies, preschoolers, and even adults baring their feet and wiggling their digits. In "My Mommy Comes Back," several children bid goodbye to their mothers and then enjoy the time they spend at a daycare, at a grandparent's house, and with a babysitter. "Baby's Good Doggy" shows a young girl dancing with a large, loveable puppet. Sung with a western twang, "Today I Took My Diapers Off" expresses the pride experienced by successful potty training veterans. In "I Sleep "Til Morning," a puppet describes his magical nighttime journey. Younger children will be mesmerized by the catchy tunes and images of other kids, while older viewers will enthusiastically relate the subject matter to their own lives. A fine choice for infants through preschoolers.
