The Boy Who Drew Cats
An adaptation of a Japanese folk tale recounting the legend of the artist Sesshu Toyo and his penchant for drawing cats. While studying top become a priest he cannot resist filling the walls with drawings of cats. His beloved drawings force him out in the street with spare words of advice from the priest, "Avoid large places at night: keep to small." Unable to stop the love of drawing cats young Sesshu once again covers the walls of an empty temple he seeks shelter in. What happens next is a surprise and redemption for the artist.
